Going grocery shopping is like a window into food trends cause every brand will start doing something around the same time.

There are many constants living in the U.S. and I'm convinced the one constant that will outlive me is the weird obsession with cereal (been a thing since the great depression)

A few years ago they went as far as to sell ceral'd milk, cereal flavored kitkats and gum; starting a trend for a few years before the Dubai chocolate took over the scene. As for what the food micro-trend is right now? Hard to say as we transition into summer. I think the butter beer trend is phasing out right now. Loving that there seems to be more citrus things this summer instead of watermelon!

So, the third exam didn't go as terribly as I had initially thought! I mean, I didn't do too good but I didn't do too bad either! (Better than the last one anyways...)

Heading to my next class while blanching my laptop on my hand so I'm not late or typing in the middle of class...

One more math exam, that will decide whether or not I need to retake math AGAIN, I had already forgotten the previous month's formulas so I'm not too eager to take this one ;-;

Is it finals week or is next week considered finals week?

I have the final painting that's already finished and due today, same for my web design projects but my other classes still have a week to go. UGH, I just want to get this thing over with... Who has their class' final project a group project anyhow????

Probably should continue doing the document, I have an hour before the class starts and even less time to think about how to orchestrate a research presentation with these two. I've never felt so genuinely irritated in a college class before, we've missed a few deadlines cause these guys couldn't pull their weight.

Americano coffee in hand, seize the day and try not to lose your head, I say.

Finally finished the last painting for the semester, SUCCESS!

Being an art student RULES sometimes! Like, what do you mean while everyone else is doing multiple finals at a time we get hours of nonstop work per day for painting and drawing?

Anyways, here's the painting for our "in the style of" (image linked from my Tumblr so I don't use storage here)

It's done in Acrylic Liquidex Heavy Body paint on a stretched canvas; primed with gesso; I chose Slavador Dali

The challenge was mostly within the style itself. I tend to use a lot of colors and impressionist-esque application so doing something smooth ESPECIALLY in acrylic was difficult. The two figures I featured are part of some personal art stuff I do, featuring contorted human-like figures with smiles for heads.

Currently, I am typing from the room of my Web Design class. I still have to finish that final right after this post. My art history class will have a traditional final but I'm hardly concerned.

What sucks though is math is absolutely tanking things! I mean... I'm doing better than last year but statistics is hard, I'm barely passing as of right now and we haven't even done the final yet! It's the only class I'm worried about aside from my expository writing class which uses a group project as a final. (I'm going to wring the necks of my teammates btw)

Anyways, going to stop procrastinating and actually start doing my next final project.
